One of our top clients is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing! This Home Healthcare Company is committed to providing exceptional care and creating a compassionate environment for their residents. They are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Director of Nursing to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in management responsibilities, ensuring the highest quality of care and overseeing all aspects of skin integrity within the facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities for Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Assist the DNS with management tasks and maintaining care quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to infection-control policies and protocols to protect residents and staff.
- Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds and assist with compliance, enhancing communication across nursing staff levels.
- Address the medical needs of all residents
- Coordinate and direct total planning for nursing services and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of medical records.
- Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Manage daily staffing processes and maintain flexibility to meet unpredictable needs.
Requirements for Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Current State RN License.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care settings.
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and supervision ability.
- Must be wound and ostomy certified.
- Flexible hours required to accommodate facility needs.
