Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe

Job Summary

The primary purpose of Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with local, state and federal standards and regulations, established facility policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to provide appropriate care.

Education/Experience:

· Must currently hold an unencumbered RN license with the South Dakota Board of Nursing.

· Must have 5 years of experience working in a long-term care facility.

· 1 year of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

· Current Wound Care Certification is preferred but not required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· All positions require a minimum of a criminal background check to a maximum of an adjudicated P.L. 101-630 character and a criminal background check.

· Must pass a drug/alcohol pre-employment drug test.

· Maintain Valid South Dakota Driver’s License.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

· Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.

· Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.

· May be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., more than fifty (50) pounds.
