We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Director of Marketing to support the execution of impactful marketing strategies within the cannabis industry. This role involves assisting in the development, implementation, and analysis of marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth and enhance customer loyalty.
The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with the Marketing Director and team, contributing to communication strategies for in-house brands and joint venture partnerships. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with brand and regulatory standards, and maintaining the quality of all marketing materials.
This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills who can work independently while supporting team goals. The Assistant Director will play a key role in enhancing Sonoran Roots' marketing efforts and achieving its strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Marketing Management Team by assisting in the development and execution of marketing and communication strategies aligned with company goals, targets, and metrics.
- Oversee daily operations and supervise staff involved in marketing services and programs.
- Manage digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media, programmatic advertising, social influencers, and lead generation.
- Set performance goals and measures to evaluate success across assigned areas of responsibility.
- Lead innovative initiatives such as content automation, AI prompt engineering, and social media growth strategies.
- Foster collaboration among marketing team members, bridging communication gaps and supporting opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail managers, wholesale teams, and third-party partners to enhance marketing collaboration.
- Develop and execute grassroots and PPC marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and increase average order value at retail locations.
- Implement systems to streamline tracking of daily metrics, create data visualizations, and monitor key milestones.
- Assist the Director of Marketing with optimizing monthly expenses, tracking ROI, and negotiating vendor rates.
- Ensure quality assurance and error-free communications across all marketing materials.
- Be flexible with work schedules to support evening or weekend events as needed, while maintaining regular office hours.
- Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned.

- Proficiency in using CRM systems and marketing tools to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Expertise in managing marketing budgets to ensure cost efficiency and maximize ROI.
