A bachelor’s degree preferably in related field with seven (7) years of progressive management experience in recreation, Facility Services administration, or related programming and leadership roles.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Ability to pass a criminal background check
A valid Georgia Driver’s License is required upon appointment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and materials and theories of the work.
Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Knowledge of tools and materials used in construction.
Some knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering.
Ability to plan, organize and direct the activities in the areas of responsibility and anticipate their impact on city government as well as the general public.
Ability to plan, direct and coordinate the work of supervisory and professional personnel.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with subordinates, community agencies and the general public.
Ability to analyze problems and exercise sound professional judgment and make logical and valid conclusions.
Ability to plan, lay out and supervise a work program involving Facility Services employees.
Ability to keep records and prepare reports.
Ability to use personal computer and related software.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with coworkers and the general public.

Employee may be required to attend evening and weekend meetings and may be required to assist at special events and tournaments.
