Assistant Director, Gift Strategy & Operations (GSO) - Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION 

• Field, triage, and track new and existing project requests on GSO Monday.com project boards. Maintain daily oversight of projects, flagging key follow-up and deadlines for GSO Director and partners. 
• Launch an online intake form for fielding and centralizing GSO partnership project requests to enhance team organization and collaboration, build workflow efficiencies and accountability, and derisk future gift deployment issues.
• Manage project intake needs assessments, planning meetings and outreach to key internal stakeholders on project deliverables. Proactively provide consistent communication, documentation, and status updates.
• Co-lead the development of the gift opportunity catalogue and inventory tool tracker to align with organization-wide business and fundraising strategies.

• Actively build relationships with business administrators to drive GSO initiatives and navigate complex scenarios with multiple stakeholders with varying interests, perspectives, and priorities.
• Manage external stakeholder meeting prep, including agenda development, internal and external outreach, notes and actions tracking, and follow-up. Staff select meetings in coordination with GSO Director. 
• Collect, organize, and disseminate information to the right people at the right time, sharing out real-time project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a new information hub SharePoint page for storing project history, key resources, and tools designed for partner teams to independently access and reference.

• Investigate issues that arise around secured gifts, unspent funds, misused funds, and misapplied funds. 
• Serve as key point for internal and external fund management check-ins including complex gift and fund cases with gift administration, additional gift restrictions with hospital finance, and gift deployment needs for external partners at Packard and School of Medicine.
• Develop process and build info-sharing systems for funds accountability and oversight with internal and external partners.
• In partnership with GSO Director, create new tools and templates to document, archive, and enhance GSO processes and learnings.

• A bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years in some combination of nonprofit, and/or fundraising, and/or project management.
• Strong organization and communication skills, with an aptitude for and interest in systems, processes, and operations.
• Superb relationship building skills, with ease and comfort in working and collaborating with others.
• Proficiency in using a variety of technology including project management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint), and donor databases. 
• A genuine interest in the Foundation’s mission to improve health and well-being for kids and families.

• An understanding of and experience with philanthropy.
• Familiarity with academic medicine and healthcare business operations.
• Creating and/or deciphering program budgets and spend plans.
• Working with a variety of stakeholders, including executives, business administrators, fundraisers, and faculty.
• Experience with Monday.com or another similar project management platform.
