Summary:
Directs the functional area's activities and resources of the Food and Nutrition Department to ensure alignment with Memorial Healthcare System.
Responsibilities:
Oversees complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plans and monitors staffing functions, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and disciplinary actions accordingly for the department.
Analyzes production services, clinical systems and practices to provide leadership with decision support information.
Responsible for complete departmental oversight in the absence of the director.
Develops and implements department operational goals; creates and implements policies and procedures consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements and objectives of the organization.
Assists with maintaining operational, strategic and capital budgets for the department. Responsible for pursuing and implementing cost savings initiatives and strategies.
Responsible for ensuring the clinical nutrition, patient services and culinary areas are following appropriate regulatory standards and policies; has complete oversight for the department's performance improvement plan and data analysis.

The incumbent must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action when required. Required Work Experience: Two (2) years of clinical nutrition or food service experience; healthcare management experience preferred.
