About the Job
Rainbow Kids Learning Center is looking for a full-time assistant director to join our leadership team of dedicated and highly skilled early childhood educators who are committed to our vision to bring high-quality care to the children and families in our community. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to the early education field and strives to be a part of an early education program where you can feel successful working in an engaging, supportive, and respectful workplace.
Our program is committed to adhering to all state-required regulations to offer a safe environment for the children and the educators while striving to support the director and teaching teams; helping to enrich the lives of the young child who we care for.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field and EEC Director II certification Required
· Two or more years' experience as a Program Coordinator/ Assistant Director is highly preferred. At least one year of center leadership/management experience required
· Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children
· Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
· CPR and First Aide Certification highly preferred
· Must meet state-specific guidelines
· Passionate about working with children
· Ability to build rapport with children, families, and staff
· Positive and patient demeanor
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours
· Computer literacy required (Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to learn Procare)
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to support the function of a center licensed for 98 children
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times
Responsibilities:
· Provides classroom support and coverage as needed
· Assists in conducting classroom observations
· Mentors and models teaching skills in all classrooms
· Assists in managing training resources and materials
· Assists in developing professional development plans for all staff
· Assists in maintaining the training calendar
· Assists in ensuring staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, and emergency management
· Assists with managing the monthly newsletter and calendar, postings, and notices
· Collaborates with handouts and classroom postings
· Is knowledgeable about and observes developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum
· Assists with curriculum mentoring and modeling
· Assists with observations and planning curriculum events
· Assists in on-boarding new families (scheduling and conducting tours/visits)

Rainbow Kids Learning Center is a high-quality early education program that has been a part of the local community for over 20 years. First established as a Toddler/Preschool program we quickly grew into an Infant through School Age large group care program offering care to children ages 4 weeks-8 years of age. Rainbow Kids is a not-for-profit program fully committed to providing care to the children and families in our community by offering an educational program that meets the developmental needs of the children. We believe that every child is special and is treated as an individual with love and respect. We provide children with an age-appropriate level of curriculum to help strengthen their self-image while having fun. Young children learn primarily through play. Because of this, our program is designed with opportunities for children to learn while feeling successful in their world of play.

- 8-hour shift (9 AM to 5 PM)
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
