Job Summary
As a part of the Communications Team within Chicago Booth's Office of
Advancement, the Assistant Director, Digital Engagement, Communications
supports the digital engagement of alumni, donors, and volunteers by
strategically using platforms and content to support the Office of
Advancement's alumni engagement and fundraising objectives.
Responsibilities
- Partnering closely with other members of the Communications Team,
utilizes Marketo and other digital tools to create and deploy
emails, which includes planning, proofreading, data/audience
selection, QA and testing, and obtaining proper approvals for
alumni-related communications as assigned. Specifically, the
Assistant Director will be responsible for email marketing for
advancement driven events, with the exception of Reconnect,
Management Conference, and Economic Outlook, for which they may
provide support as assigned. This role will also be responsible for
non-recurring email needs, such as announcements and general updates
to the alumni audience.
- Working with the Associate Director, Digital Engagement,
Communicatoins, produces regular data and analytics reports to help
the team monitor effectiveness of email, social media, and web.
- In collaboration with the Associate Director, Digital Engagement,
Communications, provides tactical support to sustain and elevate the
Office of Advancement's social channels, currently LinkedIn and
Instagram, including scheduling content, responding to partner
requests, and offering graphics support.
- Working with the Associate Director, Digital Engagement,
Communications, as well as with content-focused team members,
regularly maintains the accuracy of pages on the alumni website and
makes regular edits and updates to reflect current details and
information. Conducts regular audits of ChicagoBooth.edu/alumni
pages. Supports the future development of campaign website content.
- Creates and edits assets for social media, email, web and print,
including image ourcing and resizing. Manages design projects with
Booth Marketing and external vendor. Occasionally supports event
photography needs, including scheduling, providing photo
direction/shot lists, organizing and uploading event photos as
necessary. Manages content on Booth Alumni YouTube playlist.
- Plans, develops and disseminates information designed to keep the
public informed of the organization's programs, accomplishments, or
point of view, with moderate levels of guidance and direction.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems, as work assignments are
difficult and broad in nature, usually requiring originality and
ingenuity.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related
field.
