PROGRAMMING
The Assistant Director of Outreach and Programming for the Michigan Consortium for Addressing Rural Education Expansion and Retention (MiCAREER) Resource Hub will serve as an on-going liaison with rural PK-12 Districts and interested individuals who want to employ the services of the Hub to become an educator serving rural Michigan communities. The Assistant Director must be knowledgeable on all programs in the MiCAREER Resource Hub in order to provide participants with accurate information and assistance with program selection. The Assistant Director will also lead marketing and recruitment efforts for the Hub and connect participants with community-based mentors. This position is also responsible for arranging any on-site training and other outreach engagements for the Hub, utilizing community resources to expand awareness of the MiCAREER Resource Hub and share information with potential participants. Additionally, the Assistant Director serves as a liaison, aligning district-wide initiatives to the Hub and convening with key stakeholders to define action steps to connect initiatives. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience working in PK-12 schools, higher education, or a related field.
