A Private Equity firm located in Boston is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, (including AP and Expense), ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support our investment objectives. This is a hybrid work schedule (Mon., Tues., & Wed. onsite), and will offer a strong base + bonus and 100% paid benefits!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, (including AP and Expense), ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support our investment objectives. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP or IFRS
- all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Oversee AP and Expenses/Cash as well as play an important role in Workday Implementation and continued initiatives
- Develop, implement, and manage the annual budget process and ongoing financial forecasting
- Develop, maintain and oversee policies and procedures with the Management Company team
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity, ensuring adequate funding for operational needs and investment activities
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Identify, monitor, assess and mitigate ongoing financial and operational risks
- Provide ongoing updates and track remediation plans of identified risks
- Maintain controls over cash and supplier activities to limit risk of inappropriate payments being made
- Provide analytical support and insights to senior management and the investment team, assisting in financial modeling, due diligence, and investment evaluation.
- Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 8+ years of private general accounting and/or public experience, private experience preferred
- ERP experience required + MS Office knowledge
- Prior experience within a managerial role
- Payable, Expense, and Supplier experience
- Very Strong Customer Service Skills, polished, business acumen
- Must be willing to be onsite 3 days/week
