Assistant Corp Controller at KBW Financial

About the Job
KBW Financial has partnered with a global CPG company to identify an Assistant Controller. This 100% remote role will require travel quarterly to the corporate office and responsible for managing corporate accounting, and some technical accounting matters. This is an ideal role for a public accounting or corporate accounting professional to help build and scale the company during a period of high growth. Additional details include:
• Lead corporate consolidation for month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare financial statements and reporting package including analysis of balance sheet, income statements, and cash flows
• Responsible for direct supervision of 2 accountants
• Responsible for accounting policy & procedure updates and serve as a key resource for technical accounting questions/issues
• Owns debt reporting including calculation of covenant ratios and quarterly submissions
• Responsible for cash flow forecast and respective working capital targets
• Calculate and post journal entries in connection with month-end process
• Maintain general ledger and related chart of accounts
• Work cross-functionally to implement system enhancements and to improve processes and create efficiencies
• Serve as main point of contact with external auditors
• Perform other special projects related to acquisitions and subsequent integration
• Support ERP launch and identity opportunities to improve reporting and financial close processes
• Ad Hoc reporting for Controller and Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications And Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA Designation a plus
• 6+ years of accounting experience (preferably with manufacturing experience in the CPG industry)
• Proficient user of Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel);
• Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
