Our client, Wilco Gutter Supply, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their dedicated team in Indianapolis, IN. This individual will be responsible for overseeing or performing all accounting functions and will be trained to take on the lead Controller position in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER:

• Oversee all accounting functions for a smooth accounting operation.
• Learn all functions of the accounting department to assist when necessary.
• Handle bank reconciliation.
• Manage payroll and HR using ADP Workforce Now.
• Oversee all general ledger processes, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and monthly financial statements.
• Record assets and maintain required insurance and licensing.
• File monthly sales tax for 4 states.
• Approve credit for customer accounts.

IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE:

• Associate degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and office management.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and accounting practices including creating journal entries and data entry in Sage 100.
• Payroll processing experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough approach.
• Excellent attendance and promptness.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

JOB DETAILS:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
• Work Location: In person
• Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
