Reporting to the Group Controller, the new team member will contribute to enhancing operational efficiency by optimizing processes while ensuring clear communication and maintaining organizational effectiveness.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Responsible for leading month-end closure, including financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and approve all journal entries.
- Recommend benchmarks (KPIs) that will be used to measure the companys performance.
- Produce annual budget and monthly profitability forecasts; report significant budget differences to management.
- Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit (PBCs).
- Approve weekly check-run and outgoing wire transfers.
- Oversee AR collections and serve as escalation point for all collections issues.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Manage and mentors direct reports. Provide training as needed.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Build team and individual capability, ensuring personal effectiveness for work in current and future roles.
- Manage multiple direct reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration required
- Five years or more of related experience required
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting (manufacturing) required
- Prior experience with intercompany billings and settlements is a plus
