Pay: $75,000 or DOE
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Controller will help support all day to day finance operations, including functional responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable and Daily Sales. This position will assist as a liaison to gather documents for external auditors. The Assistant Controller will work closely with department heads, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, but to explore how the finance function can support program operations. The Assistant Controller will assist in the preparation of the financial reports to management.

Essential Functions Statement(s):
- Reconcile the daily sales postings to credit card payments
- Reconcile the accrued payroll account, manual checks, and advance accounts
- Update schedule monthly with all fixed asset additions. Verify when asset was places in service. Create asset ID in GP. Set up for depreciation.
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to Controller by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Verify all EOM statements to our GL Accounts
- Create recurring Journal entries and post them each month
- Create schedule of AR and prepaid accounts
- Reconcile accounts to ensure proper coding
- Assist anyone in the Accounting Department
- Look for new ways to make the department efficient
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and discipling employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
College or University Degree preferred or years of service experience
Experience: Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of related experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), Microsoft Dynamics GP.
