We are representing an established, well known, banking organization in Glen Burnie, MD who is seeking to hire an Assistant Controller to their team!

Our client has incredible brand recognition in the community and has a fantastic company culture. The pay rate for this role could range anywhere between $110K - $120K, based on experience.

Overview
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing insights and analysis on financial performance.
• Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies or trends that require attention.
• Support the CFO in all financial matters of the organization

Experience

• Proven experience in financial report writing
• Strong budgeting skills with a demonstrated ability to manage financial forecasts effectively.
• Solid financial acumen with experience in public accounting preferred.
• Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis techniques.
