We're seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support our client's finance operations in Glastonbury. In this role, the Assistant Controller will collaborate closely with the Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting activities, streamline financial processes, and drive operational efficiency. Compensation: Starting at $108K with opportunities for bonuses

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Controller
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive financial performance.
- Assist with audits, including preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a mid-sized or large organization.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
