Job Summary: The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing the accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining internal controls. This role involves overseeing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Support the Controller in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
- Coordinate and support external audits.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Train and mentor accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
