Everstaff is seeking an Assistant Controller for a manufacturing company in the Alachua, FL area.
Salary: 90,000-10,000
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
- Ensure the precise and punctual recording of financial transactions.
- Conduct reconciliations and thorough analyses of general ledger accounts to uphold the integrity of financial data.
- Review and prepare financial statements meticulously to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Process Enhancement and Implementation:
- Identify areas for process enhancements and operational efficiencies within the finance department.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enact process improvements and streamline financial workflows.
- Develop and document standardized operating procedures to foster consistency and ensure regulatory compliance.
Cost Allocation Oversight:
- Supervise the cost allocation process to guarantee the precise and fair distribution of expenses.
- Evaluate cost allocation methodologies and propose enhancements to optimize cost management.
Integration of Technology:
- Harness technology, including Power BI, to augment financial reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and suggest tools to enhance financial processes.
- Work in tandem with IT to implement and integrate financial systems and software effectively.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate routine financial reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI for managerial review.
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights into business performance and trends.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
· Proven experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, and cost allocations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
· Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and implement efficient financial processes.
· Tech-savvy with expertise in using Power BI for financial reporting and analysis.
· Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; experience in system implementation is a plus.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
