Assistant Controller - Creative Financial Staffing

Our client is a large catalog / retail based organization with 4 separate entities and is located in the north west suburbs of Chicago. Due to growth with the business we are adding another individual to assist the CFO with the accounting and month close activities. The organization has a great reputation in the market place with respect to the end users and businesses. This is as great opportunity for even a Senior Accountant who is looking to get into a leadership position

Compensation will be $95,000 to $105,000

About the Organization:

• approximately $50M in annual revenue with 100 employees. Finance and accounting team of 10
• 3 locations with a other located in Iowa and in Florida. Approximately 40 years in the business
• Very diverse product offerings with over 40,000 individual SKUs

• Role will be heavy reconciliations and account recs
• The Assistant Controller will assume reports later on
• Looking for a self-starter and have the ability to create reports using Microsoft Excel
• Will be hands on with the month close
• The Assistant Controller will be responsible for Bank reconciliations
• Ideally someone out of a manufacturing firm or distributor
• will be reviewing the work of the Accounts Payables and Receivables Team
