Position Overview:
As an Assistant Construction Project Manager for Syndicate & Co., you will play a pivotal role in helping complex construction projects progress from conception to completion. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting and training with primary Project Manager, attention to detail, on-site oversight, team leadership, building.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
- Help to develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, in collaboration with stakeholders and project team members.
- Help to ensure that project objectives align with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in regularly monitoring project progress and address any deviations from the plan promptly.
- Learn to proactively identify potential risks and challenges and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
On-Site Oversight:
- Assist in conducting regular site visits to supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with safety standards, quality assurance, and project specifications.
- Train and collaborate with site supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors to address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the construction process.
- Learn to make well-informed decisions on-site to resolve problems promptly, maintaining progress and adhering to project timelines.
Client Relationship Building:
- Serve as the a point of contact for clients, building strong and positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on project status, address any concerns, and ensure their satisfaction with the project progress.
- Help identify opportunities for additional services or future projects and work towards strengthening long-term client partnerships.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Help review and approve change orders and variations, ensuring accurate documentation and alignment with project objectives.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure that construction work meets the highest standards of quality.
- Help to ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and documentation are obtained and up-to-date throughout the project.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Construction experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Experience in client relationship and customer service preferred but no mandatory
