About the Job
Our client, an iconic outdoor and activity-based lifestyle brand, is looking for a professional and dependable temporary OmniAssistant Buyer to join their Costa Mesa team!
Responsibilities:
- Managing purchase order process from top to bottom, ensuring specified deadlines are met. As well as receipt flow and secure timely deliveries by partnering with business planning and customer service.
- Assisting with planning and executing pricing strategies in accordance with fiscal responsibilities, maximizing sales, margin, & inventory management.
- Assisting in developing assortment plans, sales forecasts, writing reports, & analyzing sales figures, along with reviewing & reacting to sales performance and selling reports.
- Communicating needs/strategies with Store Operations, (e.g. District Manager/Store Manager).
- Managing samples: organize samples by season for merchant presentations, floor set preparation, marketingneeds, and sample sales.
- Work closely with the buyer to execute the business strategies and objectives utilizing SAP, Business Objectives (BOBJ), Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of prior experience in chain-store buying or merchandising at the Assistant or Associate level.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and other relevant Retail applications.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Costa Mesa, CA.
