About the Job
Main purpose of the role:
Effectively examines, qualifies, and manages individual sales territory regarding number and types of accounts. Territory management involves grouping accounts by geographic proximity, trade lanes, TEU volume, direction of trade, and manages time wisely to obtain increased productivity. Assist Sales Manager with day to day tasks including, but not limited to, reporting, performance, KPI measurement and cover BSM key functions when absent.
Major areas of responsibility: Sales Support and supervision of Inside Sales Coordinators.
Main Tasks:
Directly supervises and leads the activities and success of the Inside Sales Coordinators.
Assists as backup for the Branch Sales Manager (BSM) as needed.
Assists the BSM in the measurement and reporting of sales force activities and goal attainment.
Reports unprofitable items from sales lines to BSM.
Assists the BSM in the implementation and completion of strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Communicates closely with Trade and cross-functional teams on market intelligence, service updates, customer challenges and opportunities. Initiate sales campaigns where needed.
Researches market analysis in order to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates in support of responsive customer service and opportunities to gain additional cargo volume.
Prepares the KPI metrics for the Inside Sales Coordinators; conducts all performance reviews and sets/manages performance improvement plans, where appropriate.
Prepares the KPI metrics for the Account Owners and discuss them with the BSM to identify areas of improvement and action plans to improve performance.
Assist the BSM on targets distribution on quarterly basis, by providing accurate reports on past performance, prospect accounts and current market conditions.

• Academic education: Bachelor Degree (Marketing/Business Administration
• Certification: N/A
• Experience: 7-10 years’ experience in the ocean shipping or related industry management positions; 5 years in senior Sales Management position strongly preferred
