Your Role:
As the Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll oversee the operations of a high-volume branch, ensuring smooth processes, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day branch operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, and customer service.
- Team Leadership: Direct and coach department managers, overseeing hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing issues and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Financial Management: Analyze operational and financial reports, taking corrective action as needed.
- Strategic Planning: Define service standards, set goals, and monitor team performance to achieve branch objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement cost savings and efficiency measures.
What You Bring:
- Management Experience: At least 4 years in foodservice or grocery distribution, with a proven ability to manage high-volume warehouse operations.
- Operational Expertise: Familiarity with P&L, inventory control, payroll, merchandising, and loss prevention.
- Leadership Skills: Experience managing and coaching staff, with a focus on employee development.
- Customer Focus: Ability to forge strong relationships with customers and provide top-tier service.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of state and federal laws relevant to warehouse operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
