About the Job
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Banquet Manager to join our vibrant events team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and supervise various event locations, including our prestigious event center, charming outdoor pavilions, and remote settings. Collaborating closely with the Banquet Operations Manager, you will serve as the face of our exceptional Food and Beverage team, upholding our service culture and standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage evening operations at our renowned event center and picturesque outdoor event spaces
- Coordinate captivating Food and Beverage programming, including engaging demonstrations and mixology events
- Orchestrate seamless event activations for social, group, and corporate clientele across our property
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and housemen
- Expertly handle scheduling, inventory management, product ordering, staff training, and quality assurance
- Adeptly manage budgets to ensure overall profitability and operational efficiency
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English
- Recruit top talent, schedule staff, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations
- Stay ahead of industry trends and pioneer innovative approaches
- Embody a customer-centric mindset, delivering unparalleled hospitality experiences
- Showcase flexibility and availability, including weekends and holidays
- Possess the physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with a strong focus on Banquet operations
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-end hotel or resort setting
- Preferred experience with Relais & Chateaux and Forbes standards
- Familiarity with Delphi software is a plus
- Award-winning background with a proven track record of excellence and success
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a polished and professional demeanor
- Education: 4-year college degree preferred, or relevant training and extensive experience
