About the Job
- Develop and execute strategic plans to align IT asset management and project objectives with organizational goals and long-term operational strategies
- Formulate strategic forecasts and assessments based on trends and data to predict future IT hardware and software requirements, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently for scalability and sustainability
- Work closely with senior leadership to integrate strategic asset management initiatives into broader organizational objectives, with a focus on cost optimization, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance
- Design and lead strategic frameworks for continuous improvement, asset utilization, replacement planning, and overall process efficiency
- Demonstrate strategic modernization efforts to standardize and enhance IT asset management processes
- Lead and oversee asset management projects, including the 3-year technical refresh cycle, ensuring timely and successful delivery within scope and budget
- Develop and execute strategic plans to align project objectives with organizational goals and long-term operational needs
- Create comprehensive project plans detailing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across procurement, logistics, and other teams to ensure projects contribute to the organization's overarching strategy
- Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies while keeping a focus on strategic outcomes
- Present detailed project status updates, including progress, issues, and solutions, with an emphasis on how project results support broader organizational objectives
- Manage the entire lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including workstations and mobile devices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree: Management Information Systems (MIS) or similar degree
- Master's degree: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or IT Management or similar degree
- Proven success in project management with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- ITIL Service Management certification
- 10+ years of experience in federal contracting roles, particularly in asset management and IT infrastructure
- 8+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects
- 8+ years of experience in customer service, communications, requirements analysis, and design analysis
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow
- Proven experience in developing, executing and controlling all aspects of a project plan including, but not limited to, a project schedule, project budget, risk management plan, communications plan, technology insertion plan and project member performance management
- Proven experience in strategic planning experience
- Leadership attributes and traits must include empathy, ability to build consensus and resolve conflict, proven experience in building trust and confidence with both client and contract personnel and the ability to lead effectively without significant positional authority
- Comfortable, confident and experienced during frequent contact with and briefings to senior government leaders
- Tenacious and solutions focused with a proven ability to deliver excellent results
- Effective working under time pressure with a sense of urgency
- Expertise in ServiceNow and IT asset management processes
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Demonstrated strategic planning and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to serve as a change agent in a federal government setting
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
