About the Job
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect and Manage Data: Gather data from various sources, streamline data collection methods, and design and maintain frameworks and data systems to support efficient data management and analysis.
- Analyze and Interpret Data: Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends and insights, and present data in a format that is easily understandable to support data-driven decision-making.
- Leverage Automation and Tools: Utilize automated solutions and tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx to support sophisticated dashboarding and documentation of data needs.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Liaise with CR business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure Data Governance: Integrate core data governance and lineage principles to ensure client reporting data needs are aligned and data lineage is upheld across domains. Define and enforce data governance policies and procedures, including data quality standards, data integration, data security, and privacy.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Demonstrate Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of data and analytics, with a preference for experience in Client Reporting/Asset Management data domains.
- Exhibit Technical Skills: Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and other automation tools.
- Communicate Effectively: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Show Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and address business needs.
- Collaborate Effectively: Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Apply Analytical Skills: Experience in conducting in-depth data analysis and identifying actionable insights.
- Understand Data Management: Excellent understanding of metadata and data management constructs.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Innovate Creatively: Creative thinker with the ability to design innovative data solutions.
- Hold Advanced Education: A Master's degree in a field such as engineering or computer science is preferred.
- Possess Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Associate (CCA) Data Analyst, or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) are advantageous.
- Demonstrate Investment Accounting Expertise: Strong experience in the Investment Accounting data domain would be advantageous.
- Possess Experience: 5-10 years of experience in data-related initiatives, preferably within a major financial institution.
