PAY RANGE
$75,000 - $85,000 Annual Salary - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Asset Management Analyst provides support to the Asset Management Department with a specific focus on the portfolio of their Senior Asset Manager supervisor. The support includes administrative responsibilities, reporting analysis, and involvement in special projects as assigned. This position is critical to the department’s continued effort to support other departments and provide excellent customer service to its lender, agency, and partners.
This is a hybrid position, based on current MidPen policy of working Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Foster City Office. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, option to work from home or the office. When working from home, requires a reliable internet connection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Completes monthly, quarterly and annual investor, lender and regulatory agency reporting
- Performs analysis of property financials, budgets and portfolio reporting
- Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinates communications and manages requests from investors, lenders, partners, agencies and other stakeholders
- Performs analysis of property financials, budgets and portfolio reporting
- Ensures the timely delivery of annual audited financial statements and tax returns, annual property budgets and other required reporting to internal and external parties
- Researches partnership agreements, financing documents, regulatory agreements, tax returns and other source documents as needed
- Manages and monitors financial and legal requirements in connection with the portfolio, abstracting the information necessary to ensure compliance and facilitate business processes
- Completes analysis, reporting, presentations and memos upon request
- Ensures information and data is accurate in reporting and database systems
- Facilitates the coordination of securing internal and external approvals in governing documents and according to company policy, as needed
- Supports the processes for reserve draws and capital/construction projects
- Participates in assigned tasks related to annual property budgeting and proforma modeling
- Provides administrative support for the Asset Management team
- Performs other assignments as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, plus two years’ relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Master’s Degree or experience in real estate, low-income housing, accounting or asset management preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency using Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to prepare financial reporting and perform analysis
- Detail oriented and able to comprehend and research legal documents
- Excellent reading, written and verbal communication
- Ability to work both within a team and independently
- Commitment to the Mission and Values of MidPen
- Must have valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance policy
Physical Requirements
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks, frequently sitting
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 15 pounds
- Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
