. Assembly Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $18.20 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees after 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Assembly Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract-to-hire assignment with the potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Assembly Technician Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of production processes including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and assembling complete units
- Ensure dimensional specifications of assigned products are correct to product specifications
- Perform functional testing and quality assurance audits
- Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications
- Assemble units using hand and power tools according to product specifications
- Support engineers and design teams with design, testing, fabrication, and modification of electro-mechanical systems
- Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Adjust mechanical assemblies using precision alignment techniques as necessary
Assembly Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Ability to work from charts, diagrams, drafts, or written/verbal descriptions
- Knowledge of how to use basic hand tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload
- Must be a team player with multi-tasking and time-management skills
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related industry preferred
- Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary
Assembly Technician Preferred Qualifications
- Previous vocational training preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- This position will be subject to varying internal environmental conditions, including changes in temperature and noise typical of a warehouse environment
- Must be able to carry, lift, and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and more
- Weekend and overtime work may be required
