Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead our team of electronic assemblers in the production of components. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations on the first shift, ensuring the efficient and effective assembly of electronic devices. The Assembly Supervisor will provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of 5+ assemblers while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of 5+ electronic assemblers on the first shift, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Oversee daily assembly operations, ensuring all tasks are completed according to specifications, while meeting or exceeding production targets.
- Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities to assembly team members to ensure optimal performance and career growth.
- Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the assembly process, identifying and addressing any issues related to product defects, equipment malfunctions, or process inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production planning teams to address production issues, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition and arrange for necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Track and report daily production metrics, performance indicators, and issues to management, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Implement and enforce best practices for assembly processes, including proper handling, soldering, testing, and packaging of electronic devices.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and support conflict resolution when necessary to maintain team harmony and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in electronic assembly and manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electronic assembly processes, equipment, and quality control.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other production tracking software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and working with hands for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
