Skills you will need to be successful:
- Produces components by assembling small parts and subassemblies.
- Reads and deciphers mechanical drawings and assembly instructions for medical device assembly.
- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with fixtures.
- Uses a microscope to assemble and inspect small parts.
- Work in a cleanroom and controlled environment.
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components, familiarity with measurement tools like height gauges and calipers.
- Resolves assembly problems by notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following maintenance procedures, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Skills you will need to be successful:
- Must possess strong computer skills, familiarity with Jira and Confluence a plus.
- Medical device manufacturing experience
- AS in a technical field preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude required, clean room experience a plus.
- Data entry skills to enter assembly data: part number, lot Number, etc.
- Effective written and verbal communication (English required).
- Fine motor skills to assemble and manipulate small parts.
- Ability to use a microscope and measurement equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
