Responsibilities:YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This will involve:
- Position parts of device to be assembled in the prescribed order in accordance with production guidelines and fasten parts together using screws, bolts, and hand tools.
- Solder components, wires, etc. in the designed locations in accordance with production guidelines. A thorough understanding on mixing adhesives and encapsulation.
- Able to rework and repair PWB’s.
- Tag or mark identifying information on parts.
- Adjust and grind down parts if necessary.
- Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances.
- Able to remove and replace SMT components including QFP’s and BTC components.
- A thorough understanding on hand placing SMT components with solder paste.
- A thorough understanding of PA’s and rackmount assemblies.
- Able to provide continuity testing on coax cables and harnesses.
- Able to disassemble and reassemble modules and rackmounts.
- Able to cut and modify traces on PCB’s.
- Able to work from verbal instructions and engineering sketches.
- Ability to work under a microscope or other aided magnification.
- Demonstrated ability using basic test measurement equipment, such as multi-meters or test boxes.
- Train other assemblers on assembly procedures.
- Work with engineers on new designs and product introduction.
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of materials and schematics.
- Proficient with the use of hand and power tools.
HOW TO SUCCEED
To join us you’ll need:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in area of responsibility.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Soldering skills consistent with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Class III. Must be capable of obtaining certification to IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, J-STD-001 Space and IPC7711/7721. Current certification a plus.
- Experience building wire harnesses and coax cables.
Pay Rate: $22.90 - 28.06 / hour. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
