Description/Comment:

Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/componentsand/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies orcomplete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneousequipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meettolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products thathave failed to meet requirements. This position requires knowledge that isacquired through experience, specialized education or training. The role hasclearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid indecision making. The job requires a basic understanding of work routines andprocedures in own discipline. The technical procedures for this level are welldefined. The job works within well-defined procedures that may involve avariety of work routines. This job typically requires a minimum of 2 or moreyears experience.
