About the Job
We are seeking individuals to make electromechanical assemblies. We require the ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics, wire diagrams, and detailed work instructions on the computer. We require good mechanical skills and confidence handling different tools. We prefer experience crimping small contacts with hand tools and soldering to high-quality standards.
What You Will Do
- Read and follow work plans, engineering drawings, wire lists, blueprints, and schematics
- Provide assembly functions, which may include crimping, soldering, working with printed circuit boards, and wire work for switches, harnesses, and cabinets
- Communicate issues with work plans, drawings, tools, or materials with appropriate team members
- Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations
- Complete work correctly and efficiently
- Support, reinforce, and defend the production of high-quality work
Education & Experience Needed
- Must have a high school diploma and 2+ years of experience
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and wire lists
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must have good mechanical skills
- Must have strong critical thinking skills
- Must pay close attention to details
- Must have the ability to crimp a variety of contacts
- Must be able to comply with all safety and procedural rules
- Must have a basic knowledge of and ability to use computers, programs, and business tools
- Soldering and wire bonding experience, preferred
- Previous experience in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment with build-to-print projects, preferred
- Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
