Responsibilities:
Currently, we are searching for an Assembler to join our facility located in Charlotte, NC.
Shift: 6am start time end time 2:30pm need to be open to staying late
Pay: $12.50 - $16 P/H DOE
Position Summary:
The Assembler position performs direct manufacturing activities in the production department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness.
Duties/Responsibilities:
General-
Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix
Maintain good working relationships with other co-workers, act as an example when conflicts occur
Work with little supervision and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain confidential information, in accordance with Company policy
Adherence to safety requirements
Assembly Responsibilities-
Follow released documents to produce the product, notify the supervisor if a conflict is observed
Produce components, subassemblies or final assemblies with minimal supervision
Follow in-line checks to verify work performed, utilize hand tools as required, such as calipers and rulers
Perform in-line product testing on subassembly and finished products
Awareness of quality requirements; identify defects and communicate defects to supervisor and/or engineer for the product through the use of the reject log or direct communication
Operate a variety of simple and complex equipment such as an adhesive dispenser, UV cure, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines, and molding equipment
Keep track of materials, tools and procedures as the device are manufactured
Documentation and Line Clearance-
Prepare station and perform line clearance, including all items identified in the line clearance procedure; ensure daily line clearance is completed for each operation performed
Confirm training is current before starting work and that procedure is understood, notify a supervisor if a conflict occurs
Perform daily, weekly and monthly CER cleaning for individual stations
Completely and accurately fill in LHRs or forms in support of manufacturing
Provide job training support to coworkers, as directed-
Inform lead or supervisor of issues or unanticipated non-conformances (e.g. calibration out of date, expired material, high scrap rate); stop line as necessary
Advise supervisor in the event of needed tool or equipment repairs
Assists in other work-related areas as required
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
Good work ethic, reliable and punctual
Gets along with diverse personalities, tactful and mature
Demonstrated good judgment
Works on a variety of tasks on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
Vocational High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, medical device experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Skilled in multiple relevant processes (3 or more) or product lines
Good ability to communicate (read, write, speak) in English
Ability to record results, input data into a computerized system
Good hand to eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to monitor own work to ensure quality
Able to work under a microscope
Have a good basic level of mechanical ability
Ability to use a variety of measurement tools, such as rulers and calipers
Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as tweezers, razor blade, scalpel, wire cutter, clippers, needle nose pliers, screwdriver and Allen wrenches
Ability to use a variety of assembly equipment such as lab oven, glue dispenser, heat gun, and soldering iron
