ASEC - EP Passivation Technician - Apache Stainless

Job Description:

Summary of Position:  General duties include overall supervision of the electro-polishing line.  This position will work closely with the EP manager to ensure products are completed on time and at top quality.  This person will inherit responsibilities of the process line along with making sure all control mechanisms are done on a regular basis.  This position will grow into fabrication of all fixtures to accommodate the EP process.

Position Responsibilities:
 

• Run the EP line
• Daily measurements of EP process tanks
• Chemical analysis of EP, Nitric, and DE-OX process tanks
• Log information for each job (electro-polishing criteria)
• Maintain all process tanks according to established guidelines
• Help EP manager with insight into the quoting process
• Work with EP manager to schedule work to be done
• Make and modify fixtures to accommodate a variety of products
• Calculate EP criteria for each product
• Inspection of product cleanliness prior to EP
• Inspection of product quality prior to shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized room (accountability)
• Maintain proper air supply and ventilation in the room
• Ability to monitor and run the waste treatment system when needed
• Ensure all process tanks are clean (and cleaned out) on a regular basis
• Ensure all EP equipment is kept in useable condition and stored properly
• Trouble-shoot EP problems with possible suggestion for improvement
• Periodic helping hand with the passivation line
• Continually investigate ways to improve processes or equipment
• Communicate with EP manager on a continuing basis
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

• Requires the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
• Strong collaborative and accommodation tendencies
• Ability to multi-task, managing a wide variety of priorities simultaneously with limited supervision
• Computer literate, preferably with experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs and ERP (familiarity with Epicor a definite plus)
• Effective written & verbal communication skills are required

Qualifications:  High School Diploma.
