This trusted and established Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is actively interviewing for a Supply Chain Manager to join its experienced ASC Leadership team.
Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Materials / Supply Chain Manager will play a significant role in the daily and strategic operations of three busy outpatient surgery centers. Working in collaboration with the Business Office Managers, the Directors of Nursing, and the Surgeons/Physicians, you’ll oversee purchasing, negotiations, and contracts management for this growing practice and it’s ASCs.
The ASC Supply Chain Manager will be the central touch point for a wide range of processes that directly influence each outpatient surgery center’s profitability and financial health. The Materials Manager will have both internally and externally focused responsibilities to successfully fulfill this position.
- Internally, you’ll evaluate the center’s current utilization and inventory tracking systems, making course corrections and process improvements where necessary. Diligent research in tracking product utilization, inventory levels, waste, and staff training will be important steps to developing a strong Materials Management Program.
- Externally, the ASC Materials Manager will oversee forecasting inventory needs based on ASC metrics and data collection, contract negotiations, and purchasing processes. Working with the Director of Nursing and ASC Procedure Scheduler, you’ll develop the parameters around usage tracking for a wide-array of products.
Experience in Acute and Ambulatory Healthcare will be invaluable for the Supply Chain Manager because of the complexity of this role and of these surgery centers. If you have experience negotiating prices and tracking logistics across multiple locations, you’ll surely earn a quick interview.
