Salary: $130,000 - $175,000 per year
A bit about us:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ASC 740 Tax Manager to join our team. This is a position that will require you to manage, plan, and prepare various tax returns and related reports for our organization. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and will also be responsible for the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions as per ASC 740.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and ensure timely submission.
2. Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including the calculation of deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and tax footnote disclosures.
3. Manage and coordinate tax audits.
4. Provide tax planning and consulting to management to optimize tax strategies and compliance.
5. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
6. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
7. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
8. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
9. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree in taxation or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend, with an emphasis on income tax accounting and compliance.
3. Proficient in ASC 740 tax accounting.
4. Experience with s/c corps, multistate returns, HNW, and partnerships.
5. Strong accounting, analytical, technical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
6. Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficient in using tax preparation software and reporting tools.
8. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Proven ability to manage multiple projects/assignments and prioritize tasks.
