Job Title: AS400/Synon Developer

Essential Responsibilities:
Job summary:
SYNON/2E version 8.7 (or above) generating OPM COBOL codes
- Ability to read and debug native COBOL programs
- Experienced in relational database table definitions in the SYNON model, able to define tables using the proper key structure and relationship
- Strong knowledge on DB2 know both DDS and DDL, able to create client logical and SQL views
- Fluent in the various SYNON base functions (like DSPRCD, DSPFIL, EDTRCD, EDTFIL, EXCUSRPGM. EXCEXTFUN, EXTINFUN, EXCUSRSRC, PRTFIL & PRTOBJ, etc)
- Working knowledge in Aldon ACMS/MOM for change control
- Working knowledge of impact analysis tool like X-Analysis from Fresche Solutions; alternatively, ABSTRACT is another tool we use here in RxClaim DEV
- Good knowledge of the various compile options for optimal performance of the program objects (both screens and non-screens)
- Working knowledge of Commitment Control in SYNON/2E
- Working knowledge of Array processing in SYNON/2E
- Fluent in CL
Experience: 5+ years of IT experience on AS400 technologies

Required Skills: AS400/COBOL, AS/400 RPG, Payer, Claims, Hands on experience in DB2/4005, Strong knowledge on SQL, Experience in RxClaim core adjudication area
Nice to have skills: healthcare experience
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Be able to lead the deliveries end to end
2. Prepare detail design documents based on HLD. Consult with System Analyst, Subject Master Expert, users to evaluate business requirements, evaluate existing or proposed systems, and prepare detailed technical design document from which programs will be written.
3. Walk-thru the technical design document with SA/SME/QA group and support team.
4. Review the details design & develop or modify the existing batch or online modules programs.
5. Ensuring timely deliveries for all assigned tasks
6. Participation in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases.
7. Support QA, UAT and Release phases of the project via defect analysis, change maintenance, etc.
8. Adhere to all quality requirements.
9. Should be able to work independently
