About the Role:
The Art Director oversees the ideation, art direction, execution and production of graphics content for marketing and the Bank’s lines of business including web, print, ad campaigns, video and animations from start to finish. The Art Director works closely with the Creative Director, design staff, copywriters, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure all creative outputs are aligned with the bank’s brand and strategic goals.
+ Develop high level ad campaigns to support sales driven initiatives, advertising and social media channels that effectively resonates with the target audience.
+ Lead the creative process from concept to completion for all graphic content.
+ Develop and execute innovative design solutions for web, print, campaigns, video, and animations.
+ Collaborate with the Creative Director to establish the visual style and tone for all projects.
+ Work closely with design staff, copywriters, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective creative outputs.
+ Oversee the production process, ensuring high-quality deliverables within deadlines and budget constraints.
+ Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
+ Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance the bank’s creative efforts.
+ Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
+ Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
+ Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
+ May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
+ Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Required.
+ 5+ years minimum of experience in art direction, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.Required
+ Microsoft 365: Proficient in Microsoft's productivity apps, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
+ Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web design principles.
+ Understanding of marketing strategies and how to effectively communicate messages through design.
+ Basic Photo and Video Editing Skills forPost Production: Proficient in retouching in Adobe Photoshop and Video Editing, cutting, adding Transitions & Effects, Mix Audio, with Adobe Premier
+ Familiar with Event Space and Environmental Design with a focus on immersive and interactive experiences by incorporating and proposing new ideas + technology
+ Hands onexperience withphoto and video shoot productions and directing large crews + talent.
+ Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in web, print, campaigns, video, and animation projects.
+ Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
+ Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
+ Proven success working in a collaborative team environment.
Workstyle: Fully onsite.
Our Benefits:
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. Thepay rangefor this role is$65,000.00 - $140,000.00and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
