Army Training Capability Manager Live/Ranges Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Candidate must possess extensive experience with Army Executive Agent functions for the Range Training Land Program and provide Subject Matter Expertise in the knowledge of and development and/or interpretation of guidance on program planning and evaluation of the sustainable range management program establishing near-term and multi-year plans and programs.
Job Duties:
- Review Capabilities Development / Production Documents / Operational Requirements Document.
- Provide priority and other recommendations to effectively execute the Army's Range Modernization Program.
- Provide SME recommendations for the continued execution of Range Modernization program requirements through expert understanding of the Army's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES).
- Advise on/develop Acquisition Strategies & Plans.
- Develop/review contract Requirements Packages (RPs) to include Statement of Works (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), market research reports, and Performance Specifications.
- Assist in developing scenarios for exercises and test events.
- Provide recommendations on the execution of range modernization and initiatives relating to manpower, pre-construction activities such as National Environmental Protection Act and UXO clearance procedures, construction, operations, maintenance, studies and analyses, environmental and facilities management policies and procedures affecting ranges, and all range-related training issues.
- Develop /review test plans and test procedures to ensure compliance with the CPD/CDD/ORD and the users' training needs.
- Provide testing support to the team as systems are fielded.
Position Requirements:
- Existing SECRET security clearance highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Prior Army service preferred.
- Experience with various Training Doctrine preferred.
- PEO STRI / ACC-Orlando experience preferred.
- Part-Time: 24 hours per week
- Location: Preferred Orlando area but other locations (Ft Eustis) may be acceptable / frequent travel to various locations.
- Work Center: A mix of in office and telework.
