A network of 15 hematology/oncology infusion clinics across Los Angeles County (and growing) provides patient-centered, safe, and high-quality care. This network supplies patients with the necessary hematology and oncology medications for their treatment through its in-office dispensary.

The Pharmacy Technician will perform all responsibilities independently under the supervision of an oncology pharmacist. Responsibilities include entering prescriptions, calculating doses, dispensing hazardous and non-hazardous medications, coordinating deliveries, aiding patients with financial assistance programs, maintaining inventory, prior authorizations, resolving insurance issues, and collaborating with staff to complete various tasks in the dispensary.

This role is designed for an individual with a strong background within the Pharmacy technician field and a passion for delivering top-tier healthcare services. This unique position will leverage your technical skills, cultural knowledge, and language proficiency to provide exceptional care to our Armenian-speaking patients. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals, using your unique skills to bridge any language barriers and ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care. Responsibilities:
1. Provide accurate translation services between patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear and concise communication.
2. Utilize your expertise in IV compounding to prepare personalized medication regimens for patients.
3. Work closely with pharmacists to review and interpret physician orders, ensuring they are accurately filled and dispensed.
4. Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer any medication-related queries in Armenian.
5. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
6. Ensure the pharmacy's compliance with all local and national regulations, maintaining accurate records as required.
7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to devise optimal treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
8. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
2. Must possess a Pharmacy Technician Certification and be in good standing.
3. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a specific focus on IV compounding is preferred.
4. Fluent in Armenian, with excellent communication skills in both Armenian and English.
5. Proven ability to translate complex medical information clearly and accurately.
6. Strong knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
7. Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
9. Must be a proactive problem-solver, capable of making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
10. Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
11. Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and related software.
