Area Superintendent - Full Time - Santa Fe Springs (CA), United States

Join our Services_AME team within Services division in United States as Area Superintendent to help us take Sulzer to the next level.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Assigns work to shop employees and assists them in accomplishing tasks

Resolves issues with work instructions to shop, includes interfacing with engineering, purchasing, planning and contracts managers

Coordinates and communicates schedules and requirements with other departments where services and materials are provided or received

Writes and processes paperwork required by position including: supplies requisitions, maintenance requisitions, labor reporting, yard clearance documents, etc.

Participates in production meetings with current status of work in process and provides input on schedule versus actual capacity

Performs personnel management functions such as performance appraisals and development guidance

Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards

Performs other duties as assigned

What you bring to Sulzer:

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years experience in related environment, preferably working with pumps
Proven leadership ability
Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
