Area Superintendent - Commercial Construction - The Branch Group Inc

**Position Summary:**
Branch Builds is seeking a skilled, team-oriented Area Superintendent to join our growing company. This role collaborates closely with the Project Manager to ensure project success.

**This position involves extensive travel across North Carolina and southern Virginia, including Richmond and Southwest Virginia.**

**Essential Functions:**

• Maintain professional relationships with Owners, Engineers, and the construction team, ensuring all parties are informed of major changes.
• Identify and report work changes to the Project Manager, documenting additional work through daily reports.
• Develop and review job schedules with the Project Manager, ensuring deadlines are met and documented.
• Preplan project activities and verify material delivery to avoid delays.
• Manage critical path work and implement recovery plans for slippages.
• Supervise subcontractors to meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with contract requirements.
• Oversee safety and incident reporting on the project site.

**Required Qualifications:**
3 years of experience as a lead Superintendent for projects over $15M.
**Work Environment:** Exposure to construction site conditions.
**Physical Demands:** Regularly required to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
**Position Type:** Full-time, typically 50+ hours per week, with on-call availability.
