Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Area Sales Manager II, Residential in Eastern PA or Central PA.
The Residential Area Manager II is responsible for developing and increasing M&P sales through the Distribution Channels including contractor sales.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with distributor staff, manufacturer representatives, and contractors on business development and sales activities or projects.
- Perform the function of liaison between MEUS and customer base including acting as the voice of the customer. Own the customer interface for MEUS.
- Develop relationships with distributors, contractors, utility companies and builders.
- Sell value and champion the benefits of ductless and zoned comfort solutions every day.
- Participate in local professional groups, industry associations and functions.
- Attend and participate in trade shows.
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Conduct presentations and training at sales, product and customer meetings.
- Monitor and report inventory levels at distributors.
- Actively participate in Distributor Sales planning.
- Develop Distributors sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering Mitsubishi products to residential contractors.
- Be able to administer sales and other promotional programs.
- Manager multiple distributors effectively.
- Develop Residential Market Strategy for the territory.
- Actively monitor market price levels and report competitive pricing to Residential Manager or BU Sales Manager.
- Recommend pricing and new products.
- Grow and develop the Diamond Contractor base in assigned territory and implement Diamond Contractor program elements within territory.
- Maintain Diamond Contractor information in salesforce.com including DC status, email addresses, zip codes served and other contact information.
- Perform M&P Applications training to contractors and distributors in assigned territory.
- Perform Zoned Comfort Solutions and other sales training as needed.
- Maintain a strong technical knowledge of all M&P products, including new products.
- Attend new product webinars.
- Maintain proficiency in application and installation methods and techniques for M&P and PUMY products.
- Give presentations and training at sales and product meetings.
- Advise Residential Manager or BU Sales Manager on market conditions.
- Be able to administer sales and other promotional programs.
- Work with Commercial BU counterparts as needed to capitalize on sales opportunities for the entire ME US product line.
- Performs other job functions as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years sale experience preferably in the HVAC industry with proven track record.
- Minimum 5 years calling on the residential and mechanical contractors.
- Familiar with HVAC wholesale and dealer organizations is helpful.
- Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse background of people.
- Able to create and understand business plans.
- Familiar with PowerPoint/Excel/Word and other Microsoft Office products.
- Willing to travel.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Excellent public speaking skills.
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $88,000 and $121,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions of 30% of total compensation calculated as achievement against annual revenue targets, incentive compensation and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
