The Area Manager is responsible for the management of Depot Connect International facilities between Atlanta, GA to Spartanburg, SC. The focus will be on managing the P&L, EHS initiatives, and increasing sales. This is a travel heavy position.
Position Responsibilities
- Safety: Through inspection and training, ensure that all safety measures are met at each assigned location. This includes facility inspections, auditing, safety meetings and training, housekeeping, building maintenance, and developing ways to improve workplace safety.
- Environmental: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, heel collection and control, obtaining permit requirements for air/water/land protection, implementing cost reductions.
- Training: Train managers and employees in sales, safety, environmental, cost control, customer service, overall facility condition and expectations. Work closely with Facility Managers to generate ways to increase employee morale within the workplace.
- Profit & Loss: Ensure P&L Control through safety and environmental compliance, labor hours, production, chemical usage, utilities and energy usage.
- Sales: Generate new revenue potential through existing customer base and obtaining new customers. Review current business levels, quality or service issues, pricing concerns and tenant related items.
- Review of financial reports for the facilities. Set clear goals and strategies to obtain or surpass the company’s financial objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
- 4-5 years related work experience in a similar industry
- Demonstrated Operations Leadership experience
- P&L Management experience
- Customer service and relationship management in a B2B environment
- Experience managing multiple locations
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of labor relations, safety/environmental regulations, employee development, equipment maintenance, and sales
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly proficient in MS Office and the use of Internet
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
