About the Job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Visit selected stores on a daily basis, meet with Service Reps to improve their performance and efficiency and relations in their stores. Discuss issues/problems listed in emails. Meet with store managers and district managers to discuss space allocations and new products, and open issues.
• Communicate daily with retail stores on service, ordering, product, re/sets (refreshing product, location moves, adding new SKUs) inactive/active SKUs, safety issues, etc.
• Communicate with Service reps daily regarding problems/concerns with their stores such as service, scheduling, ordering, inactive/active SKUs, report completion. Discuss areas of improvement, store changes, new products.
• Meet and discuss ongoing and upcoming re/sets. Periodically, assist on re/sets for new stores and existing stores.
• Place advertisements for openings, interview and hire full time and part time new employees, train new employees in job duties, complete new hire paperwork process with employees.
• Manage performance of all assigned Service Representatives, to include communicating goals and objectives, giving performance feedback, counseling, progressive discipline, and termination if necessary.
• Send and respond to emails and telephone, set up work schedules, respond to employee questions, set up and conduct monthly meetings.
• Fill in for service reps that are on vacation or otherwise absent.
• Maintain good working relationship between retail store and Alexandria/NSS.
• Review open order report every morning and report back discrepancies
• Review management reports to manage service rep planned, scheduled, and reported working hours.
• Review and Approve Payroll on a weekly basis.
• Update and approve the master service schedule.
• Review Daily Emails –
• Perform weekly team Conference calls
• Accountable for all human resources and payroll paperwork for assigned department, submitted to HR/Payroll in a timely manner.
• Must conform to the retail store dress code.
Required/Recommended Education
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required. Some college preferred.
Required/Recommended Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Above average verbal and written communication skills.
• Supervisory and management skills.
• Good spreadsheet and other PC skills.
• Inventory control knowledge.
• Problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Use of telephone and tablet.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Working Conditions
This position requires extensive driving, walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and climbing (for inventory purposes).
