JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs the activities of employees and consultants to achieve objectives of the department.
- Leads IT department planning and administration, and ensures ongoing operational control related to finance, budgets, resource management, project approvals, and other related functions.
- Leads the business aspects of vendor management, including evaluation of outside parties, negotiation of contracts, relationship management, and performance tracking.
- Partners with other areas of the bank to develop and implement new processes and ensure continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders, including Risk Management, Audit, and regulators to ensure related reviews, examinations and resulting action plans are effectively organized and managed.
- Provides routine transparency, analysis and reporting related to the composition and activities of IT, including for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
- Manages special projects
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten or more years of IT business, financial, vendor management experience.
- Five or more years of experience in managing people.
- Knowledge of financial services business; securities lending and custody is a plus.
