Title: Area Lead
Reports to: Technician Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Production Manager
Starting Pay: $25+ (competitive pay)
Weekend Shift/Friday - Sunday, 5AM - 5:30PM (12hrs, 3 days)

Summary: The Area Lead is a non-advising technical focused position, responsible for leading a specific sub-area within an area (i.e.500 building) on a shift. The sub-areas include: auxiliary press support, catching/rewind, and finishing/assembly. This position is a technical expert in their area responsible for training, troubleshooting, and supporting development of associates.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Train, troubleshoot, monitor, and assist associates working in their area of responsibility.
- Support GDP/GMP compliance and training leading to improved job closings.
- Provide technical support and training to multiple technician teams within the same shift.
- Coaching and Continuous Improvement.
- Lead and coach technicians.
- Back up to the Technician Supervisor.
- Suggest and execute improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Work on jobs.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable to live the company Purpose, Vision, and Values.
- Accountable for training, troubleshooting, and monitoring team members to support manufacturing goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Support development process as needed through manufacturing transfer.
- Support the development of associates.
Training/Education/Experience
- 2+ years of leading others in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years manufacturing experience, 2-year medical manufacturing preferred.
- Lean Practitioner Certification preferred.
- Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Understanding of a GMP/GDP compliance environment
