Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Sales Manager to join our team and lead our sales efforts in a specific geographic region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in luxury hotel sales, capable of driving revenue growth and fostering long-lasting client relationships.
As our Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Developing and executing a comprehensive 12-month sales strategy to attract group business in your assigned region.
2. Conducting proactive sales activities, including phone calls, emails, and in-person visits, to engage with potential clients and secure bookings.
3. Curating and conducting personalized site visits to showcase our property's unique offerings.
4. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand our client base and increase market share.
5. Collaborating closely with the Area Director of Sales to align sales strategies with the property's business objectives.
6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client databases and ensuring the integrity of regional sales data.
7. Working closely with department heads to address any issues that may impact guest satisfaction and ensure the smooth operation of group events.
8. Hosting VIP site visits and key client programs when required, demonstrating our commitment to exceptional service.
9. Utilizing sales and marketing tools such as Delphi, Salesforce, and social media platforms to manage and track sales activities.
10. Participating in daily business reviews, weekly team meetings, and monthly conference calls to discuss progress and strategize for future growth.
11. Traveling frequently to attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
12. Adhering to professional standards of sales service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in group sales, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
3. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficiency in sales and marketing tools such as Delphi, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.
7. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to professional development.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1. Experience selling within the Auberge Resorts Collection or a comparable luxury hospitality brand.
2. Familiarity with professional organizations and industry events that support group business.
3. Knowledge of Opera PMS or similar property management systems.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
1. The position requires a significant amount of time working at a desk, with occasional walking for site visits and client meetings.
2. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for sales trips and client visits.
