The responsibilities of the Area Director include, but are not limited to:
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales initiatives to expand market share and customer base
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, vendors, and industry partners
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing quality service delivery
- Directly supervise and mentor branch managers across the area
- Develop and retain top talent, ensuring alignment with company culture and goals
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance productivity
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Analyze market trends and computer activities to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with corporate leadership to align regional goals with organizational objectives
- Track and analyze sales metrics to evaluate team effectiveness
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates to upper leadership
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Resolve operational promptly and efficiently
- Assist the Branch Manager in making informed decisions regarding branch operations
- Monitor and optimize branch performance, including inventory management, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
- Oversee budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting for the area
- Partner with marketing and product development to ensure alignment in achieving regional sales goals
- Share insights and feedback from customers and the regional market to help shape customer engagement strategies

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in HVAC wholesale, distribution, or similar industry
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead collaborative initiatives.
- Self-motivated, organized and results-driven
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred
- Familiarity with CRM software and lead-generation tools
- Strong background/understanding of the branch operations and logistics.
- Basic understanding of the company’s industry and target markets
- HVAC industry knowledge
